Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly phoned US President Barack Obama to vent out his frustration over the NSA's alleged programmes, which have been damaging the Internet.
Zuckerberg revealed that he called the president to express his frustration over the damage the government is creating for all of the people's future.
According to Cnet, the social networking giant's founder noted that Facebook focuses its energy on making its own network secure and also working to identify flaws in others' services because the company wants to 'keep the Internet strong.'
However, Zuckerberg noted that the government is undoing all of the goodwill.
He further wrote on his Facebook page that theUS government should be the champion for the Internet, not a threat and that they need to be much more transparent about what they're doing, or otherwise people will believe the worst.
His remarks come a day after documents revealed by whistleblower Edward Snowden indicated to one programme, dubbed Turbine, which the NSA uses to hack into millions of computers with malware, apart from posing as a Facebook server to infect a target's computer.
