3rd-gen Focus RS will be the 30th vehicle to sport the iconic RS badge
Ford Motor company has announced, following last week's teaser, that the all-new 2015 Ford Focus RS will be previewed in Cologne, Germany on 3rd of February at the Ford Motor Company’s European headquarters. Furthermore, In addition to showcasing the third generation of Ford’s Focus RS performance hatchback, the event will also highlight the innovation and technological advances which have become a hallmark of the RS over the years.
The world debut will be hosted by senior Blue Oval executives - Jim Farley, executive vice president, and president Ford - Europe, Middle East and Africa; Raj Nair, group vice president, Global Product Development; and Ford of Europe’s Joe Bakaj, vice president, Product Development.

Rumors has it, Ford’s range topping hot-hatch - Focus RS is likely getting the 2.3-liter EcoBoost 4-block engine from the 2015 Mustang. This engine is producing over 300 horses and reportedly getting an AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) setup too. And like the Mustang, it will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Moreover, the new Focus RS which will sit above the already performance oriented Focus ST is under the 12 announced performance product that Ford promised under the ‘Ford Performance’ banner. The Ford performance comprises - Team RS, Ford SVT and Ford Racing!
