Toyota has launched the TRD Sportivo version of the second generation Fortuner in Thailand. Unlike the previous TRD version, the new go-fast version gets a lot of sportier additions inside-out. The new Fortuner will be launched in India next year. Since Toyota already retails a TRD version of the current Fortuner, we expect a similar version of the new one as well.
The 2016 Fortuner TRD Sportivo gets a sportier front bumper and a smoked chrome grille. Other additions include a set of neat looking 20-inch gloss black alloys, a revised rear bumper and a TRD stainless steel exhaust muffler. The TRD Sportivo is available only with two color options - Pearl White and Attitude Black Mica. The Pearl White shade can be had with the roof finished in black as well
The cabin has received TRD treatment as well. To begin with, the start-stop button and instrument cluster flaunt the TRD logo. The seats are upholstered in black and red leather and the dashboard features smoked chrome highlights. The floor mats get TRD Sportivo branding too. The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been carried forward and features navigation with Toyota’s T-Connect support. The infotainment unit is connected to an 11 speaker JBL system.
