Audi India has relaunched the entry level Q3 S Edition in the Indian car market. The vehicle was first launched in August last year. The Q3 S Edition has been priced at Rs. 24.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is around 62,000 cheaper. Earlier, the vehicle costs Rs. 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company's official website revealed that the bookings for the Audi Q3 S Edition is now open with zero down payments.
Under the hood, the Audi Q3 S Edition gets the 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 143bhp and 320Nm of top torque. This powertrain is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, which transmits power to the front wheels. The Q3 S reaches 100kmph from rest in 9.9 seconds, and has a fuel economy of 17.71kmpl (ARAI certified).
It is basically a stripped down version of the compact crossover Q3, and the company has removed few of the features to achieve such aggressive pricing. The Audi Q3 S misses out on features such as the Quattro four-wheel drive system and daytime running LED lamps. It features a single frame grille and has reinforced bumpers. Standard comfort features include cruise control, parking sensors, driver information system and voice dialogue system. On safety front, this SUV sports six airbags, electronic stabilization system, electromechanical parking brake and more.
