We earlier reported that BMW will launch the X3 facelift in August but now it is confirmed that the Bavarian manufacturer will introduce the upgraded version of X3 on coming 28 August, 2014. BMW X3 made its world debut at Geneva Motor Show earlier this year which featured cosmetic changes along with some mechanical upgrades. Recently, the automaker also Upgraded BMW X5 along with the introduction of 7 series ActiveHybrid and 7 Series Signature at the Bridal Fashion Week 2014.
The upgraded BMW X3 will now sport redesigned exterior profile which gives a slight resemblance to the bigger sibling X5. The SUV also embraces bigger headlamps with optional LED headlights with tweaked front and rear bumpers. The minor cosmetic upgrades include power ORVMs with side blinkers, new body paint and stylish alloy wheels.
The interior also gets a fresh styling with near leather upholstery, piano black center console, new cupholders and automatic boot opener. For better efficiency and good mileage, the car gets BMW’s Efficient Dynamics which provides less emission and enhanced driving pleasure.

Mechanically, X3 facelift remains the same. It will be offered in xDrive20d and xDrive30d models. The xDrive20d gets a 2.0-litre, 1995cc engine which produces power of 184bhp and 380Nm of torque. X3 with 2.0-litre engine can achieve 0 to 100kmph in 8.5 seconds with a top speed of 210kmph. While the peppier model xDrive30d is powered by 3.0-litre, 2993 cc engine which musters a power of 258bhp and peak torque of 560Nm. With the bigger engine, the SUV can attain a 100kmph mark from a standstill in 6.2 seconds with maximum speed of 230kmph. Both the engines are offered with 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
