Datsun Go hatchback bookings start

Nissan India has officially started taking pre-orders for the Datsun Go hatchback. Buyers can now book the Datsun Go by paying Rs. 11,000. The production of the hatch has already been started, while the deliveries will commence by the end of March 2014. Nissan's low cost brand Datsun had showcased the Go at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2014 in all four colors that would be available when it launched.

Under the hood, the Datsun Go gets the 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 74bhp and 104Nm of torque, and returns an impressive fuel efficiency 20.6kmpl. The carmaker will also offer a comprehensive two-year/unlimited km warranty with Go.

 

Based on the old Micra platform, the Go hatchback measures 3785mm in length, 1635mm in width and 1485mm of height. With a larger wheelbase of 2450mm, the car offers a spacious cabin. The company has mounted the gearbox on the dashboard to further enhance the spaciousness of the car. Datsun Go feature a docking station to connect with smartphones.

Datsun had unveiled the Go hatchback, Go+ MPV and Redi-Go concept at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. All three cars will be manufactured at the Nissan's joint manufacturing facility at Oragadam.
