The inspiring project WOW-'Will on Wheels' was conceptualized and planned by Satyabhama University students, Chennai to mar the gap between the abled and differently-abled people. In order to celebrate the 25 years of excellence in education, the students of the University have modified the Renault Duster to enable Deepa to drive it using hand-led controls. Six students and one faculty from the University are also accompanying her throughout her journey across the country. The road drive at present has two Renault Cars, one with Deepa Malik and the other with our correspondent travelling the country. These two are followed by a car full of students who have designed the car to her specifications.

Deepa Malik on the occasion said, “Bangalore holds a special place in my heart for two reasons- one that is a biological one as i was born here and second because of my 1st major medal that I won here for the World Games, 2009. Bangalore gave a jump-start to my International Sports Career making this city count in my list of favorites.” She won this medal in the Kanteerva Stadium and so reminisces this as a must stop place on the en-route.

To support her cause, Renault India as a leading automotive manufacture based in Chennai, also declared its support for the drive by helping spread awareness of Deepa Malik cause of achieving ‘ability beyond disability’. The company will also be working with the drive team to continue spreading the message across the country.
