After making the world début at the Paris Motor Show, Fiat 500X is launched in UK at £14,595 (Approx conversation Rs 14.11 lakh). The crossover is offered in 12 eye catching colours for eight different designs and 16, 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels options. For the fun-loving and spirited, Fiat 500X is available in Pop, Pop Star and Lounge trim levels while those who like to take their vehicle for small adventurous trips, the Cross and Cross Plus models are available.
Fiat 500X is designed in the Centro Stile FIAT and embraces large circular headlamps and distinctive clamshell bonnet. The crossover measures 4.25m in length (the FIAT 500X Cross/Cross Plus is 2cm longer), 1.80m in width and 1.60m in height (1.61 with roof bars, 1.62 with 4WD). The car offers spacious interiors along with practical storage compartments. The boot space of 350-litre can be further extended by using the Fold & Tumble rear seats and the fold-flat front passenger seat.
The interiors also feature new instrument cluster divided into three circular individually cowled displays. 3.5-inch TFT display, updated steering wheel, new switchgear and 5.0-inch or 6.5 touchscreen UconnectTM systems are some of prominent interior features.
In terms of engine specification, Fiat 500X is offered with broad range of powertrain. The petrol-powered models are either equipped with a 1.6-litre "E-torQ" engine that churns a power of 110hp or 1.4-litre Turbo MultiAir II petrol engine which musters a power of 140bhp.
The crossover is also available with diesel engine. The 1.3-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel delivers an output of 95bhp while the 1.6-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel gives 120bhp of power. A four-wheel drive diesel option is also made available which houses 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel churning power of 140bhp.
