Italian auto major Fiat has now introduced a new 'Sporting' trim for its flagship hatchback Punto in the UK. Besides launching the Sporting trim, the company also claims to have offered spec upgrades across the line-up. With the addition of this, the Fiat Punto now has four trim levels- Pop, Easy, GBT and Sporting with either three or five doors version.
The company has also removed the Lounge and Twin Air Trim levels, as the TwinAir engine has been now made available as a choice on both the Easy and GBT trims. The top-end Sporting variant is priced at 13,955 GBP (INR 13.07 lakh).
The Punto Sporting has been given a new sports body kit comprising of revamped side skirts, a rear spoiler, 16-inch 7-spoke 2-tone black Sportline alloys, gloss black painted roof, sports suspension, gloss black electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, ‘Tarmac finish’ dashboard, black interior roof lining, sports leather steering wheel, leather gear knob and handbrake lever, specific ‘Sporting’ dark headlamps, front fog lights with cornering function, dark tinted privacy glass and chrome exhaust tailpipe.
The Sporting trim level is available with the 1.4 8-valve petrol (77hp) and 1.4 16-valve MultiAir petrol (105hp) engines and available with either three or five doors.
