FIAT Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd will kick start its first ever Italian Culture Week “FIAT Emozione Italiana” in Pune at FIAT Caffe from 17th- 22nd February. This Culture Week aims to create awareness about the reality of the automotive environment in Italy.
The event will focus on “Automobile Styling” aspect of the industry. Students from transportation designing school will design the exterior of the car and students from fashion designing institutes will design the interiors of the car. The selected best designs will be put up on display at FIAT Caffe at Pune.
Commenting on this occasion Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director of FIAT Chrysler Automobiles India Operations said, “FIAT cars are famous for its Italian styling and aesthetic appeal. FIAT India is happy to organize the Culture Week which is aimed at motivating the youth of the country towards the automobile segment. This is one of its kind conclaves for the designing students of India which will add value to the skills of the students. These students will get a chance to listen to the experiences of world famous designers from Italy. We look forward to see some very good styling in this contest.”
The event will see participation from of students from reputed colleges of India such as DYPDC Center for Automotive Research and Studies from Pune, DSK International from Pune and National Institute of Design from Ahmedabad. The students will focus on designing the Linea and Punto model from FIAT stable.
The conclave will have Mr. Emanuele Nicosia, MD of Beestudio who has designed Ferrari and has 38 years of experience in automotive design activity and Mr. Ajay Sharma, Head of Design Program at FIAT will be sharing their experience with the students. The conclave will also witness some of the well known Indian designers like Vikas Satwalecar (graphic and colour designer), Mrs. Talera (fashion designer), debating on various types of designs.
