Ford India retailed 12,762 vehicles in combined domestic sales and exports in November, as against 12,050 vehicles in the corresponding month previous year. Company's domestic sales stood at 5,661 vehicles, in comparison to 7,909 units sold in the same period last year. While the exports remained at 7,101 vehicles, compared to 4,141 vehicles a year ago.

“The perceived improvement in consumer sentiment is yet to translate into better sales for the automotive industry. A lackluster festive season was certainly not what the industry expected. While we are confident of the long-term growth potential of the Indian market, we continue to be cautiously optimistic in the near-term,” said Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India.

Quite recently, Ford India commenced retail distribution of its genuine service parts with the appointment of its first exclusive distributor – Eminent Auto Parts, for the Delhi-NCR region. Located at 10/58, Kirti Nagar Industrial Area, New Delhi, Eminent Auto Parts will also reach out to all retailer and independent repair shops in the national capital. After this, Ford plans to expand the retail distribution network to Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Eastern region of India as well.

'Easy availability of genuine parts will enhance customer convenience and access to competitively priced and high-quality auto parts,' the company stated.
