General Motors India has silently updated its flagship hatchback Beat with some minor upgrades. We expect it to be the after effect of the recently launched Micra Active, as the price war is getting furious and segment is becoming crowded. Or this could have been done on the basis of customer feedback as well. Now, the Chevy Beat comes with a height adjustable driver's seat and gets contrasting silver inserts to the dashboard and seat upholstery.
General Motors has two vehicles in B and B+ segment, and both are missing out on height adjustable seats. Now, the company has fixed this issue, and it would be interesting to see how these upgrades will help GM to improve Beat's sales in India. There are no mechanics changes to the car reported, as it comes powered by a 1.3-litre Multijet engine, that has an ARAI certified fuel economy of 25.44kmpl. The petrol Beat has a 1.2-litre engine, which returns 18.6kmpl of fuel economy, which is also capable of working on LPG kit.
