General Motors India has now silently introduced the Chevrolet Captiva facelift, and all the details have been updated on its official website. The same version was unveiled in Korea earlier this year. Essentially, the car remains the same; however, cosmetic updates both on the interior and the exterior, make it look refreshed.
Talking about the exterior changes, it has now received revised front and rear bumpers, revamped front grille, new LED tail lamps, newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels and new fog lamps. While inside the cabin, lower variants of the car have received a new upholstery. Other changes include a larger infotainment screen, ambient lighting and heated rear seat.
One major change given to the facelifted Captiva is the addition of new 6-speed manual gearbox variant, which was missing earlier. However, unlike its automatic counterpart, the manual will be a rear wheel driven. The automatic version of the car comes with the 4WD option. The engine has remained the same 2.2-litre diesel that churns out the maximum power output of 186.5bhp and 424Nm torque.

One more unusual thing that you would notice is the pricing, the company has kept the prices of both the manual transmission and automatic transmission equal. The reason we are calling it unusual is the fact that despite being a manual version that too a 2WD (two-wheel drive), it costs similar to that of the automatic, which is a AWD (All wheel drive). So, like the usual trend, Chevy too should have kept the Manual 2WD version's price lesser than the full time AWD.
