Honda inaugurates its new plant, Nissan to launch Datsun Go soon

Honda has began production at its new plant and the first set of cars to roll out are the Amaze. The plant can produce 120,000 units annually and soon other products will be manufactured too. Honda Amaze and the City are the two new products from the company and both are available in diesel too.  It will launch two more products till Match 2015, one will be the Mobilio and then the Jazz.

Nissan will soon launch its first product GO under the Datsun brand by the end of this month or early next month. The Datsun GO is their first highly-localised product targeting first-time car buyers.

Honda's new manufacturing unit, Tapukara plant, based in Rajasthan has been inaugurated today. After the Noida facility, this is Honda's second manufacturing plant opened in India; intended to serve the rising demand for Honda cars in the market. Year 2013 witnessed company's unprecedented growth with two of its most significant cars- Honda Amaze and City. Honda Amaze is the first vehicle to be rolled out from this facility. Also the Japanese automaker are high on expanding their business in India by introducing new products and innovative technologies that would just fit in perfect for the Indian customers.

They have declared Mobilio to come by third quarter this year, and based on observation, Honda has always maintained a gap of 6 months between the launch of its vehicles. So, we expect Jazz to arrive by early 2015.

Apparently, Defexpo which was held from 6th February to 9th February at New Delhi did not garner the media attention, public interest and the very important social media buzz that it deserved. Perhaps the reason was the euphoria generated by the much more popular Auto Expo which practically coincided with Defexpo. Understandably, footfall at Defexpo was much less than what was witnessed at Auto Expo. This was despite the fact that Autoexpo was held at far flung Greater NOIDA whereas centrally located Pragati Maidan at New Delhi was the venue where Defexpo was located. But the fact remains that, even for people not connected with defence related affairs there was much to see and discover at Defexpo - an exhibition essentially showcasing the cutting age defence related technologies from around the world.
