After witnessing sales slump of 38 per cent in June, Honda India is now gearing up to boost its growth by offering an array of discounts on its complete range of cars except the newly launched BR-V.
Honda’s premium hatchback, the Jazz is being offered with benefits up to Rs 60,000 on its diesel version. However, on a limited stock of year 2016 models, the discount is reduced to Rs 40,000. Even the City is available with a massive Rs 60,000 worth of discounts on selected diesel models of year 2015.
The UVs of the Japanese carmaker, the CR-V and the Mobilio, are presented with flat benefits of Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.

Looking at the pattern of freebies presented, it seems like diesel isn’t working for Honda as most of the discounts linger around diesel-fueled models. The increasing inclination of Indian buyers towards petrol is to be blamed for this, as lately, almost all the car manufacturers in India have registered a decline in the demands for their diesel trims.
With its reliability and proven customer service, can Honda take the Indian market by storm once again, just like it did before with the introduction of diesel engines in its lineup? We leave it to the future as it knows the best.
