Honda revealed the images of new Jazz prototype which will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show starting from the 4th October, 2014. The prototype model boasts new modern design with increased external dimension. The length is increased by 15mm while the wheelbase is extended by 30mm, which in turn makes the cabin spacious. As seen in the prototype, the new model is supposed to get a sporty and sleek design. The car will first be made available in European markets by mid 2015 and will later make its way to Indian auto markets.
Apart from increased dimension, the new Honda Jazz also gets a revised suspension system which provides comfortable ride for driver and passenger. As per the Honda ‘small series’ range, the third generation European Jazz will be built on the company’s global compact platform. As seen in the Civic and HR-V, the new Honda Jazz will feature the same centre fuel tank layout which is found in the current models.
With the space saving layout having practical storage solutions, the new Jazz adds more to the customer comfort and benefits. Moreover, the latest model will also feature adaptable Honda Magic Seats.
The new Honda Jazz gets company's latest Earth Dreams Technology engine which offers high fuel economy and better performance. The 1.3-litre i-VTEC petrol engine is coupled to six-speed manual or a CVT transmission as Honda Jazz ditches the five speed manual gearbox. The new Honda Jazz will be showcased at 2014 Paris Motor Show in Hall Number 3.
