Hyundai has finally launched the new 4S Fluidic Verna at Rs 7.73 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) while the diesel model is priced at Rs 8.94 lac. The dealers across the country have already started taking the booking at an upfront payment of Rs 21,000 to Rs 51,000. Since its just a midlife facelift, the only change one can find is cosmetic updates.
In the new Verna 4S (which stands for Style, Safety, Sophistication and Speed) the front fascia features wing shaped grille with twin salted chrome linings, redesigned front bumper and new fog light housing. While the rear gets slightly redesigned tail lamps along with reworked bumper which now incorporate reflectors at each end finish up the design changes.
Like the previous model, the facelifted model will also feature projector headlamps but it skips the addition of daytime running LEDs. The interior of the car remains same but now gets a new music system with 1GB storage option.

Under the hood, the car carry forward its tried and tested 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. The engines are refined but produces same power output. The diesel model carries 1.6-litre CRDi which churns a max power of 126bhp and torque of 259Nm and the 1.4-litre CRDi giving an output of 88.7bhp alongside torque of 219Nm. The petrol model houses 1.4-litre VTVT engine which returns 105 bhp while the 1.6-litre VTVT churns max output of 121bhp and peak torque of 154Nm.
On the safety front, the car offers ABS as standard safety feature while the top variant gets six airbags, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps.
