Hyundai Motors has launched the mid-life facelifted 2016 Santa-Fe in the South Korean market. The SUV has received an aesthetic makeover and adds few features along with mechanical updates. The refreshed vehicle is dubbed as Santa-Fe ‘The Prime’ in the South Korean market. Speaking of its Indian launch, the SUV is expected to launch next year while Hyundai India might reveal it at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.
Now, what Hyundai has done is, they have made the already head-turning Santa-Fe more flamboyant! To start with there’s a brand new bumper housing daytime running LEDs and fogs. Headlamps feature Bi-xenon projectors with LED guide lights, Hyundai now offers Dynamic Banding option and High Beam Assistance. And the radiator grille is also subtly refreshed.
The side profile is kept same, save for the new alloys. Moreover, the rear profile has also received few stylistic makeovers. The taillight gets new LED graphics, the bumper is updated with new rear fog lamps and new dual quad-style exhaust tips.

Talking about the interiors, the dashboard is largely unchanged, expect subtle changes, Hyundai says they have improved the quality and have focussed on attention to details. Apart from these, it gets advanced cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, a 360-degree camera and the decibels are now powered by a new high-end JBL surround sound system!
Mechanically, it continues with the 2.0 and 2.2-liter diesel engine, Hyundai India only offers the larger 2.2-liter oil burner in the country. The company has slightly changed the tuning of the engines while CO2 emissions are promised to be lowered. Moreover, spec figures are largely unchanged.
