INKAS Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing has recently announced a fully armoured and stretched version of the Mercedes-Benz G63. The 60 inch stretch has transformed the G63 into a fully-functional mobile office for perhaps a very important person. The conversion to a limousine has also added more comfort to the G63’s cabin, with a near boardroom on wheels and the power to match with it. The interior decor has been customised with the use of top quality leather and wood across.
The INKAS G63 Limousine is equipped with heated and cooled leather seats which also include massage system, an executive customised safe, a bar, innovative light system as well as advanced multimedia and audio systems. Furthermore, the partition between the driver and the passenger compartment contains built-in TV screens.
The vehicle incorporates perimeter armouring of the passenger compartment with protection against 7.62mm ammunition. The floor is armoured to withstand blasts and shrapnel from the effects of 2 grenades detonated simultaneously. All doors and windows apertures are overlapped with bullet catchers installed between all open crevices. In order to ensure that the vehicle’s factory characteristics are left mostly intact after armouring, INKAS Armoured has upgraded suspension and braking components to ensure maximal ride quality and control.

“We’re proud to introduce this first of its kind bulletproof limousine based on the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG platform. The vehicle was fully designed, stretched and armoured in-house at our facility in Toronto, Canada. Due to the recent increase in Mercedes-Benz G-class orders for armouring and stretching, we have scheduled the deployment of a new dedicated assembly line for this model, which will strengthen our world-leading positions in the field of armoured and stretched Mercedes-Benz vehicles,” says Philip Daskal, VP of Sales, INKAS Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing.
For window protection, INKAS has employed a new generation of bulletproof glass for the G63. It is more transparent in comparison with other ballistic glass available on the market, while maintaining the necessary ballistic properties. Also, a custom-engineered solution by INKAS Armoured allows the windows to maintain operability and be rolled down for limited use on toll ways, checkpoints and during document transfers.
