Luxurious SUVs maker Land Rover has introduced the long wheelbase version of the Range Rover in the Indian car market. It has been priced at Rs. 2.08 crore for entry level model and Rs. 2.63 crore for top spec. In India, the vehicle was first unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo.
The company has increased the wheelbase of the SUV by 186mm, thus offering an extra 140mm of legroom for the second row passengers. The rear seats can be made available to its customers either in bench form or as an individual executive seats. Now, the seats in the second row can be reclined to 17 degrees, which is around 8 degrees more than the previous models. The top spec model has 10.2-inch screens at the rear seats and adjustable tables which transforms the cabin into a complete heaven.
The Range Rover LWB variants are being offered in both petrol and diesel guise. While the petrol version gets the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that churns out an hefty 510bhp of power and 625Nm of top torque. There are two diesel powertrains on offer- a 4.4-litre V8 mill producing 339bhp and 770Nm of torque, and a 3.0-litre drivetrain that produces 256bhp and 600Nm of torque.
