There has been a lot of hype building up with the TUV300 launch, which is due in 10 days from now. Starting from the battle tank inspired design philosophy to all the spy shots and finally the steering wheel reveal, Mahindra has kept its customers on the edge of their seats. Still holding back the official pictures of their latest compact SUV, the Indian automaker will start pre-launch bookings of the TUV300 from September 1, 2015.

Under the hood, the compact SUV features the mHawk80 engine which is expected to be an iteration of the Quanto’s 1.5-liter 3-cylinder motor. Also, as it is a sub-4m SUV, the diesel engine capacity is expected to be less than 1.5-liter.

Inside, the TUV300 gets a brand new cabin with beige and black color tone and chrome highlights with silver accents. Also, the car features multi-functional steering wheel, dual-pod instrumentation cluster with chrome highlighter rings. Carrying the TUV300 are the segment-first 17-inch radials, 5-twin-spoke alloys which are wrapped in 235/65 cross-section tyres.
TUV300’s major competitor will be Ford EcoSport and the sub-4m compact SUV is expected to be priced aggressively against its American rival.
