The XUV500 facelift was launched in Italy after it hit the Indian roads earlier this year. Mahindra & Mahindra is offering a warranty of 5 year/100,000 km for the model launched in Italy. Apart from getting minor cosmetic additions, the car features holistic upgrades in terms of equipments. Two variants, named as W6 and W8, are available for the European country and safety features like Airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, ISOFIX mounts, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control all come installed in the car.

The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox remains common between the Indian and Italian variants. The new element in this vehicle is a petrol engine, which is being developed exclusively for the international market.

The front facade of the car has got a reworked grille with headlamps now displaying more fine details. On the inside the car has new dashboard color theme, which complemented by the seat fabrics and updated center console, gives the car an elegant look. The top end European version (W8) of the Indian vehicle is laden with features like reverse parking camera, cooled glove box, touchscreen infotainment system supporting GPS Navigation, automatic climate control, 8-way adjustable driver seat, puddle lamps, cruise control, static cornering lamps etc. The addition of sunroof and bumper with chrome highlighted foglamp enclosure makes the mid-size crossover all the more desirable.

The European version of XUV500 ranges from 19,527 to 25,466 euros (around INR 13.74 lakhs to INR 18.01 lakhs) and is being exported as a CBU from India.
