Looking at the popularity of the Creta diesel automatic, Mahindra has launched the automatic variant of the XUV5OO today. The vehicle shares Scorpio’s 6-speed automatic unit which was launched earlier this year. The automatic transmission is available in W8, W10 and W10 AWD variants of the XUV5OO. Speaking of the prices, the variant prices start at Rs. 15.36 lacs (Ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai).
Mechanically, It is powered by the same 2.2-liter mHawk diesel motor generating 140 bhp and 330 Nm of peak torque. As mentioned above, the automatic transmission is the 6-speed unit from Scorpio while the standard manual is also a 6-speed unit. Moreover, Mahindra launched the facelifted version of the SUV in May earlier this year. The facelifted vehicle featured aesthetic makeover inside out, while mechanically it remained unaltered. Adding on the major feature addition in the facelift - push start button, electric sunroof, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 6-way power seats driver seat, logo puddle lamps, reverse camera with assist.
