The wait for the much awaited Maruti Suzuki S Cross is finally over. The car will be launching tomorrow all over India. The S-Cross is the latest crossover entering the Indian market and will be competing with Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport, Nissan Terrano, Tata Safari Storme and Mahindra Scorpio. The car will be launched in Maruti Suzuki’s new premium Nexa showrooms and is expected to be priced at Rs 8 lac (ex-showroom).

The car will be available with a choice of a 1.3 and a 1.6 litre DDiS engine and will not have a petrol variant making it the only vehicle in the Maruti Suzuki’s lineup to not have a petrol engine. The 1.3-litre engine churns out 90 PS while the more powerful 1.6-litre produces 120 PS of power which makes it more powerful that most of its rivals.
The top end variants will feature SmartPlay infotainment system with a touchscreen display and supports Bluetooth connectivity. It will also support voice commands as well as satellite navigation. The lower models will have integrated audio system with Bluetooth which will have a CD/MP3 player, USB connectivity as well as Aux-in port. All variants will have four high quality speakers and two tweeters as well.
