Competing with Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV3OO, YBA comes all deckedup with segment first stuff like projector headlamps and 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Maruti Suzuki YBA has been spied in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and details of the interiors of the vehicle are leaked for the first time. This vehicle is yet to get its official name and YBA is its codename. The launch is most likely to happen at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo. And it will compete with the sub-4m SUVs in the country EcoSport and the recently launched TUV3OO.

Speaking of the cabin, the central console appears to be inspired from the SCross. The spied vehicle sports automaker’s 7inch SmartPlay infotainment system, that implies it is the top end trim. We can expect Apple’s CarPlay with it just like the one in the new Baleno and like all their recent launches, YBA is also expected to get the Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha trim levels. The steering wheel is borrowed from the Swift/Ciaz/Baleno and unlike the new Baleno it sports the segmentfirst cruise control buttons found on the SCross. The central tunnel features a cup holder and there is also a storage space below the auto AC control.

The vehicle features swept-back headlamps featuring Bi-Xenon projectors probably like SCross and Baleno. The side repeaters are placed along with the fog lamps. The grille resembles the one found in the new Vitara, which is also India bound. The rear portion of the car sports wraparound taillamps, while reflectors are placed on the bumper. Mechanically, the vehicle will borrow the engine options from the current lineup 1.3liter DDiS200 diesel with SHVS along with 1.2liter VVT petrol.
