Mercedes is all set for its next addition to the '15' in 2015 model portfolio for India. The next model in its launching spree is the Mercedes Benz C 63 S AMG, which will launch tomorrow. With this model Mercedes will introduce the AMG version of the new C Class. The previous launches by the German automaker included the S 63 AMG Coupe, S500 Coupe and the G63 AMG Crazy Color along with the S 63 AMG sedan. Just like all the other AMGs, even this car will come to India through the CBU route. The C-Class of Mercedes Benz rivals other models like the 3 Series offered by the fellow German automaker BMW and the C 63 S AMG will similarly rival the performance oriented 3 Series variant, the BMW M3.

The icing on the proverbial cake is that the 2015 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S will feature the same 4.0-liter V8 powerplant, which also find its application in the new AMG GT. This particular engine is capable of belting out  510 hp @ 5500-6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 700 Nm between 1750-4500 rpm. The powerplant will be coupled to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed transmission. The AMG engine is completely hand-built and helps the new AMG C 63 S achieve an acceleration of 0-100 kmph in 4.0 seconds. The car features a top speed of 250 kmph (290 kmph with optional AMG Driver's Package), which is typically limited electronically. The interiors will be all-black and are expected to feature the standard AMG treatment. On the exteriors Mercedes has made sportier and performance oriented additions to the base C Class body for this AMG variant, which include sportier bumpers, alloy wheels and other kits.
