Mitsubishi has unveiled the facelift version of Outlander SUV at the ongoing 2015 New York Auto Show. The all new Outlander, according to the manufacturer gets “100 engineering and design improvements,” and the most prominent being the two large chrome bars on the front profile.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander shares its styling cues from Outlander PHEV Concept-S. The SUV now features slimmed-down all-LED headlights and rides on new set of 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear too gets new bumper, LED taillamp cluster and stylish black cladding with silver trim. On the inside, the SUV flaunts all new interior design concept with new and updated electric steering wheel, new auto-dimming rear-view mirror with Homelink and new infotainment system.
Laura Conrad, senior specialist for Mitsubishi’s public relations team, “At this point we haven’t really released any information on the U.S.-spec Outlander PHEV, but I can tell you that it will have the new Outlander’s styling, and is expected to come Spring 2016.”

Safety of the SUV is enhanced by the updated technology which includes Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). In order to reduce the NVH levels, the automaker has used the reinforced chassis along with improved suspensions.
Moreover, under the hood, the SUV gets same set of power-trains and transmission as of the ongoing model. However, Mitsubishi had discontinued Outlander in India quite a few months back and still its not clear that if the company will launch the facelift version in the country.
