The German luxury carmaker, Audi has finally revealed the much-anticipated A3 sedan at the ongoing 2014 Delhi Motor Show. With this small luxury, the company aims to further enhance its market share in the Indian car market. Based on the popular MQB platform, the Audi A3 is the company's cheapest offering for the buyers.
Audi A3 sedan will directly compete against the likes of upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA and BMW 1 Series sedan. This sedan measures 4.46 meter and it share most of its design cues with the A3 Sportback. The car offers enough space to accommodate five adults comfortably and has a boot space of 425-litres.
The new Audi A3 comes in both petrol and diesel guise. While the petrol version is powered by 1.8-litre TFSI unit that churns out a maximum power output of 168bhp and 320Nm, the oil burner gets the 2.0-litre TDI unit which is capable of producing 150bhp of power and 320Nm of top torque. Both the engines will be paired to seven-speed DSG gearbox, which transmits power to front wheels of the car. The gorgeous drop dead below is the cabriolet version of the A3 Sedan, and yeah! isn't definitely coming to Indian. It'll share its features including the powertrain with the A3 Sedan.
