Volkswagen is prepped-up to re-launch Beetle in India, the launch is slated this week on 19th. The Luxury hatchback segment has a lot of rivals currently compared to the Beetle's previous stint. The new Beetle will compete with Mini Cooper S and Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione as its formidable rivals along with others like Mercedes-Benz A-Class and BMW 1 Series. Prices are expected to be in the vicinity of Rs. 30 lacs. Let us see what it has to offer.

- New Beetle is powered by Volkswagen’s 1.4-liter TSI - turbocharged gasoline motor coupled to a 7-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission
- The engine develops 150 PS
Safety
- It gets standard 6-airbags - driver and front passenger airbags (with passenger airbag de-activation) along with side and combined curtain airbags
- It also offers -hill-hold function, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), ASR (Anti-slip Regulation), EDL (Electronic Differential Lock) and EDTC (Engine Drag Torque Control)
