Nissan presented the third-generation of Nissan X-Trail at the ongoing Indonesia International Motor Show 2015 (IIMS 2015) aka Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). According to a recent report, this car will be launched in India in this festival season.The SUV that debuted in the archipelago last year is assembled in Cikampek, West Java. The car features slim headlamps,‘V-Motion’ grille, C-shaped taillamps and D-pillar kink. The Indonesian-spec model offers engine options of either a MR20DD 2.0-litre direct-injected four-cylinder engine, which produces 144 PS and 200 Nm, or the QR25DE 2.5-litre MPI four-cylinder engine, which delivers 171 PS and 233 Nm. The QR25DE engine is mated to an Xtronic CVT and the MR20DD engine is available with an option of either a six-speed manual transmission or an Xtronic CVT. In India the car will probably get a Nissan 2.0 DCi motor, which will be mated to a CVT gearbox. The AWD variant will not be available in the Indonesian market and the market will only receive the front-wheel drive variant.
X-Trail comes with features like Auto Headlights and Active Ride Control and LED daytime running lamps. The top-end models will feature heated door mirrors, full-LED headlights, keyless entry, push-button start, automatic wipers, dual-zone climate control, electrically powered front seats, cruise control, 18-inch wheels, leather seats and around View Monitor.
The car also comes with many safety features, which include Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Active Engine Braking, front dual airbags, Hill Start Assist, ABS with EBD and brake assist and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The colour scheme for the car constitutes of Floral White, Premium Bronze Metallic, Smokey Grey Metallic, Diamond Silver Metallic and Phantom Black body shades.
