The Indian automotive market is often referred to as the toughest in the world, for what matters more here – more than even the quality of the car – is the connection of the brand with the consumers. Indians demand a lot from their 4-wheel marvels and, if delivered, they don't shy away from showing their love and appreciation. The latest example is of the recently launched Vitara Brezza, which has already crossed 2,600 bookings in 24 hours. We’ve tried to list out the most sought-after cars in the Indian market for you. However, we realize that judging all cars using the same yardstick is not fair. So, here are the segment-wise leaders, based on the number of units sold in India, in the month of February.

Utility Vehicles

Recently, during the launch of the Brezza, a statement was uttered: “unchi is the new lambi (tall is the new long)”. This certainly stands true for the Indian car owners. Buyers are shifting their focus from long and elegant sedans to tall and masculine SUVs. This is reflected in the sales of SUVs like the Creta. But once again, Maruti dominates with its wide range of utility vehicles. Here are the top utility vehicles of February.
