India's leading automaker Tata Motors has now launched its flagship SUV Tata Safari Storme in Nepal. India received the vehicle in October last year, and is being sold alongside the old Safari. Deriving its power from the mighty 2.2-litre VariCor engine, turbocharged with VTT (Variable Turbine Technology), the Safari Storme is capable to deliver 138bhp and 320Nm of peak torque, while proving easy driveability and lower NVH. The Safari Storme prices in Nepal start at NRS 37.85 lakhs. Available in three variants- LX, VX (4x2 and 4x4) in six vibrant colours- Urban Bronze, Sardinia Red, Pearl White, Pearl Champagne, Astern Black and Arctic Silver.
The Safari Storme will be available throughout the large Tata Motors network in Nepal which consists of Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd., the official distributor and its 12 dealerships. The Tata Safari Storme comes with a warranty of 2 years or 75,000kms, whichever is earlier. Just like India, Tata Safari Storme features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, which helps a driver to shift from 4x2 version to 4x4 or vice versa on the go. Despite being a powerful engine, the vehicle delivers a commendable mileage of 14kmpl in the 4x2 variant and 13.2kmpl in the 4x4 variant.
Commenting on the launch of the New Safari Storme,Mr. Gurinder Singh, Country Manager, Nepal and Bhutan, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “In addition to our current dynamic offerings, we now introduce the Tata Safari Storme to our customers in Nepal. We are sure that customers will be delighted with the look and off road capability of the Real SUV, the Safari Storme”.

If compared with the older version, the new Safari Storme has an more aggressive looking front fascia with revamped grille, side cladding, new projector headlamps, which makes the vehicle more upmarket. The rear too has received some changes including new tailgate, under located spare trye and a few more, making it looks different and refreshed.
In terms of safety features as well, the new Safari Storme has been given all the advanced ones including vacuum assisted independent hydraulic, ventilated disc brakes on all four- wheels and a 4 channel ABS with EBD, which helps in keeping the vehicle under control, during emergency braking conditions.
