Japanese car major, Toyota has revealed the 2016 Hilux pickup truck, the same vehicle on which the next generation of Fortuner is based upon. Though, the exteriors of the new Fortuner will be largely different from this vehicle but the interiors are expected to remain the same.
Hilux is recognized as a compact sized pick up in the foreign markets it is sold in, and is largely successful in almost every one out there. Speaking of the insides, all new Hilux features a more contemporary dash that focuses towards Toyota’s latest design logic, as the one we see in Corolla Altis. Hilux’s dashboard features high mounted A/C vents in the centre, silver brushed aluminum trims, leather stitched steering wheel with a plethora of controls, ice blue back light that lends a gentle touch. The central console features an infotainment screen, newly designed air conditioning controls and display. An advanced driver information cluster is also visible in the image, silver inserts are also visible around the gear lever and door panel.
While the exteriors will be largely different as Fortuner will be getting more car like looks than the Hilux, that looks very butch with its huge wheel arches and a hefty nose. Toyota is also offering DRLs and projector headlamps in the latter and they will be coming in the Fortuner as well.
