Volvo showcased the S60 Cross Country at 2015 Detroit Motor Show and now the Swedish carmaker has confirmed that it will be launching the same vehicle in our market around the first half of 2016.
The S60 Cross Country is a one of its kind vehicle as it offers better ground clearance than normal sedans. For those once in a blue moon off-roading adventures, S60 Cross Country comes equipped with an all-wheel drive system which also has a ride height adjusting feature which will be a boon on our bumpy roads.
Volvo XC 90 Launched
Globally, this Swedish cross-sedan gets both front wheel drive and four wheel drive options. However, for our market, S60 Cross Country is expected to come with a 5 cylinder 2.4-litre Diesel D4 engine that produces 178bhp of power. This cross version also has 65mm more ground clearance than the regular S60 sedan.
The S60 Cross Country will be equipped with sun-roof, heated front seats, reverse parking camera and sat-navigation system which are already seen in the outgoing regular S60. We can expect the car to be priced around Rs. 50 Lacs which is around 5-10 Lacs more than the regular S60 Sedan.
