Volkswagen India to Submit Emission Scandal Report by November-end

Volkswagen India is accessing the effect of the global emission scandal in the country. The company will be submitting the access report to the government by the end of November. They have clarified that their next step will depend on the findings of this report.

The company is dealing with a lot of trouble world over because of the emission scandal and its Indian subsidiary is feeling the heat too. Earlier it was reported that the automaker might recall around 1 lac vehicle regarding the emission manipulation.

In another event, at the Tokyo Motor Show, Mr. Akio Toyoda, one of Toyota’s top shots, said that VW should not focus on being number one. He said that Toyota too have initiated major recalls in past and is now focusing on the quality rather than quantity.

 

He added that the diesel scandal that has affected around 11 million VW cars should not affect their (VW’s) current production.

Volkswagen’s new CEO apologized for the scandal at the Tokyo motor show on Wednesday. The company has registered first quarterly loss in more than 15 years.

A few days back the delivery of VW Polo was stopped abruptly and it was said that it was because of some minor issue.
