Volkswagen Polo facelift coming soon, Sonata upgrade also expected

This week was an action-packed one as there was the Beijing Motor Show, the fastest growing car market in the world. The Beijing Motor Show showcased several new concept cars and several were electric like the previous iteration. Bentley revealed its electric plans in Beijing and even other Chinese car makers showcased several of their upcoming products in the form of concepts, technology and production ready cars.

Volkswagen is all-set to introduce the facelift version of its Polo. This hatchback will now come with day-time running lamps and we can expect a change in its interiors too. A new diesel engine will power the Polo and this will be available as an automatic too. Hyundai too has plans to upgrade the Sonata. The coming months will exciting as we shall see a sea of new car launches too, several are aligned in May and June alone.

Volkswagen has revealed the images of the facelift version of the Polo and this will make its way into India as well by September. The Polo model year 2014 has a upgrade with a redesigned bumper and headlamps with LED running lamps. The new Polo for India will also get a new engine too. This will be the 1.5-litre diesel engine and it will replace the current GT TDI with the 1.6-litre diesel engine.

Lamborghini introduced the Aventador LP 700-4 Nazionale at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show. The sports car is designed by the company's Ad Personam division, and it features a Bianco Opalis exterior. Considering the name it has received-Nazionale, the Italian word for “national”, it's not surprising to see the exteriors are painted with colors from Italian flag which is well suited with the overall white appeal of the car. The model also showcases red brake calipers, a transparent engine cover and 20/21- inch forged wheels with a titanium finish.

Hyundai introduced its all-new seventh-generation 2015 Sonata at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. Following the incredible success of the outgoing Sonata globally, the all-new generation offers a subtle look through a new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. Hyundai claims that the new Sonata has a stiffer body structure, better ride quality, reduced noise, vibration and harshness and advanced safety and convenience features.
