Weekly Wrap-up: Mercedes Strengths its AMG portfolio; Scorpio AT, Linea Elegante Launched

This week in the Indian auto segment, we witnessed the launch of automatic version of next gen Scorpio at Rs. 13.13 lac (Ex-showroom, New Delhi) along with Mercedes-Benz’s S 500 Coupe, S 63 AMG Coupe and G 63 AMG Crazy Color Edition. Fiat India also introduced the limited edition ‘Elegante’ version of its only sedan in the country, the Linea. Priced at INR 9.99 lac, the Linea Elegante is positioned above the regular top-end trim and comes with some minor tweaks inside-out. In the upcoming cars, Ford’s Figo Aspire and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross are scheduled to be launched on 5th August.

Fiat India launches Linea Elegante at INR 9.99 lacs7*

Fiat India has launched the limited edition ‘Elegante’ version of its only sedan in the country, the Linea. Priced at INR 9.99 lacs, the Linea Elegante is positioned above the regular top-end trim and comes with some minor tweaks inside-out. The availability of this special version is limited only to the orders that dealers receive from prospective customers. Read More

New Generation Scorpio Automatic launched, priced at Rs. 13.13 lac

To remain strong in the SUV segment, Mahindra has introduced the Automatic variant of the New Generation Scorpio. Available on the top end S10 2WD variant, this automatic version is attractively priced at Rs. 13.13 lac (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). This is the only SUV in the segment to offer 6-speed automatic transmission with 4WD as an option. Read More

Mercedes Launches S 500 Coupe, S 63 AMG Coupe and G 63 AMG Crazy Color Edition

Mercedes has always been synonymous with the epitome of luxury and now also aims at achieving dominance as a luxurious sports car. The car company has launched the S 500 Coupe, S 63 AMG and G63 AMG in the country today. These models mark the entry of the S-class coupes in the Indian market. The company has tagged these models at S-Class Coupe - INR 2.0 Crore, Mercedes-AMG G63 Crazy Color edition- INR 2.17 Crore and S63 AMG Coupe - INR 2.60 crore.These new models are Mec’s additions to its 15 model launch, intended for 2015. Mercedes has  also launched  the G63 AMG, in a new color scheme, showcased under the “Crazy Color” moniker. This basically means that the SUV will be available in bright colors like the Neon Green, shown below. The mechanical components of the beloved terrain trailer, still remain the same. Read More

Maruti to Launch 20 New Models

Maruti Suzuki India plans on selling 20 lakh cars per annum by 2020 and to do so, it is increasing the product launches in India. Maruti is intending on having a localization content across its premium and volume products. the company intends on achieving a 85% average target.
