Alstom T&D India tumbled 6.82% to Rs 504.25 at 10:09 IST on BSE after net profit fell 86.4% to Rs 2.58 crore on 9.9% decline in net sales to Rs 762.98 crore in Q3 December 2014 over Q3 December 2013.
The Q3 result was announced after market hours yesterday, 28 January 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 141.94 points or 0.48% at 29,417.24.
On BSE, so far 53,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 33,341 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 508 and a low of Rs 485.05 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 170 on 10 February 2014. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 563.90 on 27 January 2015.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 28 January 2015, advancing 17.01% compared with the Sensex's 8.51% rise. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, surging 47.25% as against Sensex's 9.96% rise.
The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs 51.21 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.
