Andhra Petrochemicals firms up after plant resumes operations

Andhra Petrochemicals rose 1.38% to Rs 58.60 at 12:37 IST on BSE after the company said that its Visakhapatnam plant has resumed operations from 19 February 2018.

The announcement was made during trading hours today, 19 February 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 275.94 points, or 0.81% to 33,734.82.

On the BSE, 55,000 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 1.45 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 59.90 and a low of Rs 56.25 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 77.90 on 25 January 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 22.90 on 11 August 2017.

 

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 84.97 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Last month, Andhra Petrochemicals announced that its plant at Visakhapatnam stopped operations from 26 January 2018 for annual maintenance work.

Net profit of Andhra Petrochemicals rose 361.1% to Rs 15.77 crore on 52.8% rise in net sales to Rs 142.95 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.

Andhra Petrochemicals is engaged in the manufacturing of oxo-alcohols. The company's products/services include 2 Ethyl Hexanol and Butanols.
