Ashok Leyland leads gainers in 'A' group

Eicher Motors, IFCI, Jubilant FoodWorks and GMR Infrastructure are among the other gainers

Ashok Leyland spurted 7.93% to Rs 14.98 and topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The stock rose on volume of 32.99 lakh shares, higher than an average volume of 12.68 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

Eicher Motors jumped 5.82% to Rs 3,585.70 and was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock gained on bargain hunting after falling 4.4% in prior two trading days to Rs 3,388.50 on 23 September 2013 from a recent high of Rs 3,544.35 on 19 September 2013.

IFCI advanced 4.5% to Rs 23.20 and was third biggest gainer in 'A' group. The stock gained on bargain hunting after declining 6.72% in prior two trading days to Rs 22.20 on 23 September 2013 from a recent high of Rs 23.80 on 19 September 2013.

 

Jubilant FoodWorks surged 3.79% to Rs 1,154.15. The stock extended prior four-day 7.33% gain. It was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group

GMR Infrastructure rose 3.45% to Rs 21.86. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
