Ashok Leyland Ltd rose 2.54% today to trade at Rs 82.8. The S&P BSE Auto index is up 1.45% to quote at 18393.59. The index is up 1.27 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Eicher Motors Ltd increased 2.23% and Tata Motors Ltd added 1.86% on the day. The S&P BSE Auto index went down 10.95 % over last one year compared to the 15.49% surge in benchmark SENSEX.
