Australian share market finished last session of the financial year (30 June 2014) deeply lower on Monday. Almost every sector measured by the ASX retreated in the absence of any strong lead from Wall Street, with mining stocks leading downfall. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 declined 0.91% to 5395.70 while the broader All Ordinaries sank 0.87% to 5382. Australian share market was, however, posted double digit returns for the second financial year in a row, up 12.4% over the 12 months to 30 June 2014, fuelled by record low interest rates.
