Australia Market falls on soft local job figures, downbeat China industrial activity data

Asia stock market finished session slight lower on Thursday, 14 June 2018, as softer than expected domestic job figures and downbeat industrial activity data out of China weighed on a market already under pressure from overnight falls on Wall Street. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed down 6.9 points, or 0.11%, at 6,016.6 points, while the broader All Ordinaries was down 3.5 points, or 0.06%, at 6,129.6 points. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 606 to 589 and 439 ended unchanged. The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 3.56% to 11.491.
