Australia Market finishes higher

Australia stock market closed session fresh decade high on Wednesday, 20 June 2018, on the back of broadbased gains across the sector, exception being exception of the telecom sector, with shares in banks and financials leading rally. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index gained 70.5 points, or 1.16%, to 6,172.6 points, its highest level since January 2008, while the broader All Ordinaries index added 65.7 points, or 1.06%, to 6,274.6 points. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 680 to 553 and 407 ended unchanged. The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 1.67% to 12.181.
