Australia Market powers by banks

Australian equity market finished session higher on Monday, 11 September 2017, as investors took some comfort due to absence of another missile launch over the weekend by North Korea and Hurricane Irma's end. Most of sectors advanced, with banks and financials being notable gainers. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 40.5 points, or 0.7%, at 5,713.1 points, with all sectors except for mining and gold making gains.
