All industry group of the ASX issues advanced, with energy, materials, and industrials players being major gainers. At the closing bell, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index inclined by 62 points, or 1.16%, to 5413.30, while the broader All Ordinaries index increased 61.30 points, or 1.13%, to 5480.60.
