BGR Energy advances after new order win

BGR Energy Systems rose 3.32% to Rs 105.85 at 09:51 IST on BSE after the company won an order worth Rs 87.68 crore from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation.

The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 19 March 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 61.81 points, or 0.19%, to 32,984.93. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 3.22 points, or 0.02%, to 17,231.60.

On the BSE, 20,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 13,000 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 105.95 and a low of Rs 102.80 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 184.95 on 10 May 2017 and a 52-week low of Rs 100.50 on 19 March 2018.

 

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 72.16 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

BGR Energy Systems said that the electrical projects division of the company has secured a new order from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation (TANTRANSCO) for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 230-110 KV AIS substation with associated auto transformers, etc., at Tirupattur in Tamil Nadu and 1 No. 230 KV Bay extension at Palavadi 400 KV substation.

The company will also be conducting detailed survey, profile plotting and submission of profile with crossing drawings, manufacture, supply of materials, erection of towers, stringing of 3 Nos. Zebra conductor and 1 No. OPGW, Testing and Commissioning of 230 KV SC Line on DC Towers from the proposed Palavadi 400/230KV Sub station to Tirupattur 230/110 KV Substation to a route length of 75 kms under turnkey contract. The total contract value is Rs 87.68 crore inclusive of GST. The contract completion period is 15 months.

BGR Energy Systems reported net loss of Rs 4.34 crore in Q3 December 2017 as compared with net profit of Rs 10.20 crore in Q3 December 2016. Net sales rose 9.55% to Rs 707.60 crore in Q3 December 2017 over Q3 December 2016.
