Bharat Dynamics (BDL) on Friday (10 April) said it recorded a turnover of Rs 3095 crore (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year ended on 31 March 2020 (FY20).
The turnover was up 0.85% in FY20 from Rs 3069 crore recorded in the financial year ended on 31 March 2019 (FY19).
The order book of the company as on 1 April 2020 stood at Rs 7413 crore (provisional and unaudited), which includes Akash (7 Sqdn) order of Rs 1700 crore received during the quarter ended 31 March 2020.
BDL's standalone net profit fell 71.8% to Rs 53.18 crore on a 49.6% decline in net sales to Rs 495.42 crore in Q3 December 2019 over Q3 December 2018.
Bharat Dynamics manufactures defense equipment. The company offers ammunitions, counter measures dispensing, infra red interference indicators, and missile systems. BDL serves military and aerospace industries in India.
As of 31 December 2019, the Government of India held 87.75% stake in the company.
