Turnover on NSE's F&O segment jumps
The Nifty November 2017 futures traded at 10473, a premium of 32.50 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10440.50 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 6.93 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 3.45 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index surged 105.20 points or 1.02% to settle at 10,440.50, a record closing high.
Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), DLF and Axis Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Bharti Airtel November 2017 futures traded at 546.70, at a premium over spot closing of 543. ICICI Bank November 2017 futures traded at 312.60, at a discount compared with spot closing of 313.35.
SBI November 2017 futures traded at 320, matching spot closing of 320. DLF November 2017 futures traded at 208.45, at a premium over spot closing of 207.40. Axis Bank November 2017 futures traded at 536, matching spot closing of 536.
