Bharti Airtel's network down on reports of likely action by Trai for violating MNP norms

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 5.05 points, or 0.03% to 15,886.19.

On BSE, 3.22 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 3.88 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 342.25 and a low of Rs 332 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 444.70 on 1 August 2011. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 304.25 on 2 February 2011.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 14 December 2011, falling 13.93% compared with Sensex's 7.23% decline. The scrip had also underperformed the market over the past one quarter, declining 7.86% as against Sensex's 4.96% fall.

 

India's largest listed telecom operator by sales has an equity capital of Rs 1898.76 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.

On a consolidated basis, Bharti Airtel's net profit fell 38.2% to Rs 1027 crore on 13.4% growth in net sales to Rs 17269.80 crore in Q2 September 2011 over Q2 September 2010.

Bharti Airtel provides GSM mobile services, broadband, fixed line telephone services, long distance services (international & national) and enterprise services.
